=====================================================================
Hello, my name is Anthony. My animal id is #21591. I am a male white dog at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 2 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 24-Feb-2018.
Anthony is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infection Respiratory Disease Complex and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other dogs. Anthony is suitable for an average dog owner.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: I always reserve Anthony for the end of my shift at the care center. He lays with poise in his den, a majestic white steed waiting for his time to run and play. Leashed easily, Anthony does not rush out of his kennel, he and walks really nicely around the block, doing his business without marking. He nears properly other dogs, big and small, male or female, and is quite playful in playgroups with his peers. Free in the yard, he really enjoys his time catching balls or toys, but his favorite activity is to race through two open pens. MACC Derby!!!! Fault of not being a horse, Anthony would make the best jogging partner. He loves the attention, too, and he will collapse on the ground all four up for belly rubs. I really love Anthony, his gorgeous looks, his happy temperament and his friendliness. Come and meet him in person. See what a great dog he is and take him home as your forever best friend !

ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Anthony so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm.
IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:: Anthony has been highly social with handlers throughout his stay at the care center. He seeks attention from volunteers and staff constantly and solicits petting and interaction. Anthony has shown himself to be highly tolerant of handling, including invasive procedures and restraint.
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: AVERAGE (suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
