A volunteer writes: Ears! Voted the best ears at ACC, Miss Anabelle has more than adorable ears going for her. So wiggle butt she’s almost a pretzel, she’s thrilled to see me, leash in hand. Out we go where she potties immediately and we’re off to the park. She’s a petite little girl whose tail never stops wagging, and although she pulls on the leash her wagging tail and smiling face is a joy. She’ll benefit from some leash training, or a harness to make it a more enjoyable walk for both ends of the leash. Surrendered with her housemate Lola (A1047413) as the family separated, and her former owner is working 7 days a week, we’re told that Anabelle is “very loyal and reads emotions well”, has been with kids ages 3-10 and is playful with them, knows ‘sit’ and ‘give paw’, is fine with baths, nail trims and brushing, is respectful of other dogs, and is housetrained when walked regularly. Anabelle was a little nervous in the elevator but took courage in hand and did it! Yay Anabelle! In group play she’s a HELPER DOG – yes, she’s that good and tolerant, and a polite greeter to all. She loved playing with a ball and a plush toy, carrying them around but never chewing on them. Affectionate, sweet, and rolling in for some snuggling, Anabelle aced her behavior assessment indicating she’ll be a good fit in just about any home. Maybe yours?
