Amigo
Hello, my name is Amigo. My animal id is #16573. I am a male black dog at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 5 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 20-Dec-2017.
Sorry, this pet is for new hope partners only.
Amigo was placed at risk due to behavior; Amigo is difficult to remove from the kennel, lunging and snapping at the leash. He appears to be uncomfortable or afraid of the slip lead. He has also allowed minimal handling from his caretakers. Out of concern for his stress levels and his response to restraint, we feel Amigo is not a great candidate for a handling assessment at this time. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
