A staff told me..Look at that cute puppy !And yes, I thought that Amaya was a puppy until I look at her teeth and her kennel card  only to discover that she was ……..3 year old ! She is tiny enough to fit the bill and I believe that even if she puts on very much needed weight, Amaya will still belong to the world of pocket Pities. She is a black orchid with Great Dane ears, cute beady eyes, a little pout and a white chinychinchin…She owns such a serious face, a little tense and  wary not to get her share of treats or lap like a child who has been starved for food and attention. Indeed, Amaya might not have had the rosier life. She is skin and bones(although she owns an intact and shiny ebony coat), appears to have been crated  for many hours a day and not to have enjoyed  the cleanest environment… All that of course  could change  like with a magic wand, with your input, your will to take Amaya in your home as your very dear forever best friend.  She is a bit shy with people and other dogs but feels pretty quickly comfortable in the arms or the lap, can sit on command and runs to her caretaker when called. She is beyond adorable, a pretty flower who dreams of only one thing…be yours… Come and meet Amaya at the Manhattan  Care Center. She aced her behavioral evaluation and is ready to start a new chapter in her life.
