KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 10/25/16 Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on mounting the assessor and biting the leash. Squeeze 1&2: 2. Dog gently places his open mouth over the Assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Toy: 1. 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Summary: Alamo displayed no concerns during his behavior assessment. PLAYGROUP: Alamo was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior around dogs is unknown. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Alamo engage in high energy play with male and female dogs. He continually solicits play. The Behavior Department recommends that Alamo be placed in a home with dogs that match his high energy play and a dog-dog interaction be conducted to ensure compatibility. Alamo was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior around dogs is unknown. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Alamo engage in high energy play with male and female dogs. He continually solicits play. The Behavior Department recommends that Alamo be placed in a home with dogs that match his high energy play and a dog-dog interaction be conducted to ensure compatibility. 10/25: Alamo displays loose and wiggly body language when greeting a novel female dog. He solicits and engages in high energy play. He attempts to mount the female dog but is able to listen to handler interruptions and continues to play. 10/26: In a group of playful male and female dogs, Alamo continually solicits high energy play. He is tolerant of mouthy play styles. He may mount another male dog, but is able to listen to handler interruptions and continues to play. 10/27: Alamo engages in high energy play in a group of playful dogs. He continues to attempt to play with a male that begins growling at him. 10/28-11/3: Alamo continues to engage in high energy play with playful dogs. He mounts another male dog and is tolerant of the male dog mounting him.
