12/27/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/27/16 12:01 Adalyn A1100554 is a female blue AMPBT that was found in a park yesterday in the Bronx along with an empty water and food bowls. The finder took her in for the night but isn’t able/willing to keep her but stated Adalyn is a happy sweetheart who’s tail never stops wagging. They gave her a medicated bath and some coconut oil for her skin as she appeared to be itchy and is missing some fur on her lower back. Adalyn was very hungry and ate dog food along with human food the finder shared with her. During intake Adalyn had a loose wiggly body and allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of even though it took several tries and different tricks to finally get a not so blurry picture. Adalyn is a smart girl that can & will open a baby gate and will even attempt to push open the front door as she tried but ours is a little heavy perhaps. Adalyn seems to enjoy giving and being hugged also kissed. She walked nicely alongside us and walked into her kennel on her own after her food bowl.
01/02/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Adalyn is part of the “Little Grey Mice” family…petite and cute, silvery, girly and a good listener. She was found in a park, all by herself, next to an empty food bowl. Her finder said that she looked so happy, wagged her tail non stop and accepted even a bath. Brought to the care center, she enjoyed giving kisses and being hugged by the admission staff. Adalyn is a little more reserved and cautious now that she is kenneled, but she still flags her tail when she sees me at her door. She bounced back, though, after a walk around the block, and some time leash-free in a pen. She sits on command and for treats, and settles between my legs for caresses. Adalyn is fine being outfitted with a ruffled boa for the pictures and poses nicely as requested. In playgroups with her peers, she is a little shy, but she might never have been introduced to her kind before. Although young and apparently healthy, sweet Adalyn is in need of TLC, more and better nutrition, and a soft pillow to rest in the family room. Come and make her wish come true…a real home to call her own, and a human or family to love. Adalyn is at the Manhattan Care Center.
