I am a male gray neapolitan mast. The shelter thinks I am about 8 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/19/2016 from NY 10466, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

03/19/16 16:01 Basic Information: Loki is an 8 year old male Neapolitan mastiff. He was surrendered because his previous owner was evicted from his apartment. He has no known injuries or health problems and the last time he was taken to the vet was last year. Socialization: Around strangers Loki is friendly and outgoing and when he plays with adults he is gentle. He lived with children ages 6-14 and when he played he was gentle. Around dogs he is relaxed and playful and gentle at play. He also lived with 2 female cats and with them he was relaxed and playful. Behavior: Loki has never bitten a person or animal. He isn’t afraid of storms or fireworks. If his food bowl was touched Loki would stop eating and back away from the bowl. He had a relaxed body and neutral tail. He’s friendly if a treat or toy is taken from him. He is also friendly if he is pushed off furniture, restrained, if his coat is brushed, or if his nails are trimmed. He isn’t bothered if he is disturbed while sleeping and tolerates bath time. He isn’t bothered if an unfamiliar person approached his home while his owner was home. He is friendly if an unfamiliar person approached his previous owner. For a New Family to Know: Loki is described as friendly, affectionate, confident, mellow and independent. He has a low activity level. The two things his previous owner liked most about him were; he’s easy to train and willing to please. When his previous owner was home he would tend to follow him around. He liked to play with rope and his favorite game is tug. He was kept indoors only. At night he slept near his previous owner’s bed. He ate both wet and dry Pedigree. He is housed trained and never has accidents indoors. He is well behaved when left indoors and in the yard. He knows how to sit, come, stay, go down, “get it”, “watch”, and stop. For exercise he was walked 2xs daily. On leash he doesn’t pull and off leash he wanders but comes when called. Behavior during intake: Loki was not interacted with. He went straight to medical upon intake.

03/19/16 17:17 Sedated, snoring Sever conjuctivitis OU, moderate debris AU, nndc OP muzzled, could not do thourough exam, from canines and incisors grade 2/4 ddz PLN wnl H/L reg, no obvious heart murmur but difficult to auscult bc snoring loudly, lungs clear/eupenic ABD distended, no obvious fluid wave MSK could not asses Integ superficial wound on ventral neck towards right, multiple superficial wounds around eyes, saggy and lichenified skin both elbows BCS 5/9, dorsal muscle wasting noted UG M/I Neuro sedate A: Heartworm positive Multiple superfical wounds on neck and around eyes Conjuctivitis P:Doxycycline 10 mg/kg PO SID x 30 days for wolbachia secondary to heartworm Clavamox 1125 mg (three 375 mg tabs) PO BID x 14 days.
