Manhattan Center My name is KING. My Animal ID # is A1123366. I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/31/2017 from NY 10040, owner surrender reason stated was LLORDPRIVA. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-109816. 09/05/2017 AT RISK MEMO MOST RECENT MEDICAL INFORMATION AND WEIGHT S/O BAR, cage reactive, barking excitedly/aggressively at front of cage mucoserous nasal discharge, sneezing; coughing reported by staff mm appear pk appears eupnic A CIRDC P move to isolation baytril 136 mg tabs: 2 tab PO SID x 14 days cerenia 60 mg PO SID x 3 days 08/26/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO 09/05/2017 WEB MEMO 09/03/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS: At the care center King has been social with handlers outside of his kennel, enjoying petting and walks and allows all handling. He can be initially aloof but will warm up with handlers that take him outside and engage with him. He has shown an affinitiy for outdoor walks as enrichment rather than in kennel enrichment. He may engage with toys and treats, but is better stimulated by walks and attention from handlers. RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience, especially with behaviors outlined below) X No cats Potential challenges: _X_Kennel presence: King appears frantic in his kennel, barking and attempting to push his way out. While we cannot be certain if this behavior will appear in any other contexts, in highly emotionally charged or stressful environments King may show behavior similar to what he is currently demonstrating in his kennel. We recommend potential adopters be comfortable managing this behavior and keeping themselves safe in any similar future situations. 09/02/2017 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION 09/01/2017 LVT INTAKE PHYSICAL EXAM 09/05/2017 MS NEW URI (LAST MAJOR EXAM) Generated on Sep 5 2017 6:00PM |
