01/10/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I want to think of Mr Goodbar as a delicious Hershey candy and nothing else… He is a sweet gent, standing right at his door and so yearning to go out and be in company. Right after being leashed and out of his kennel, he gave me a standing hug, wagging his tail non stop. Our time was limited to do laps and laps and laps around a large patch of grass. Mr Goodbar relieved himself at once, marking a little his territory and saluted through the gate a gentle male dog already in the yard. Mr Goodbar was quick to hop on the bench despite the snow and invited me to do the same….He played a bit hide and seek with a little girl who came to say hello through the door overlooking the street. He made little crying sounds. I think he wanted to play with her. Poor Mr Goodbar had to settle for less and squeezed himself tightly against my chest, closing his eyes under my caresses…He is a sweet boy and his given name suits him quite well. I forgot to mention that Mr Goodbar is a handsome four year old pooch, well made, subtlety muscular and elegantly dressed. He owns a big horsy face with rabbit ears. I did enjoy my time with him, even in a restrained space and in the bitter cold. A dog like Mr Goodbar can really warm up your heart… Come and meet him soon at the Manhattan Care Center. He will make a wonderful forever best friend.
