KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered male, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 01/03/17 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with tense body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy 1: No interest. Summary: Lovestuck appears friendly and social, however during the second squeeze item he became tense and gave a side glare to the assessor, and again to the assistant. Lovestuck seems a little uncomfortable, but did not escalate; he may do best upon a slow/soft approach as well as being allowed to interact at his own pace. PLAYGROUP: Lovestuck was brought to the Care Center as a stray, so his previous behavior towards dogs is unknown. When off leash at the Care Center, Lovestuck interacts with a novel female displaying a high tail, and chatters. He is sexually motivated, and attempts to mount the female greeter numerous times. He briefly listens to the handler interruptions before attempting to mount again. 1/5: Lovestuck greets appropriately at first but quite quickly becomes sexually motivated and attempts to mount. He is persistent after being interrupted.
