PHILLY – 12016
Safe - 11-13-2017 Manhattan Rescue: Amsterdog Animal Rescue Please honor your pledges: http://amsterdog.org/donate/
Hello, my name is Philly. My animal id is #12016. I am a male gray dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 07-Nov-2017.
Philly is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex which is contagious to other dogs. Philly will likely require in home care with a course of antibiotics. We recommend Philly be placed with an experienced dog owner who is ready to help Philly with impulse control and basic behavior management.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Philly is a cute and compact little guy, all dressed in silver and who is all eyes and ears, wiggly butt and tail waggy in his kennel. He is a must to take out for a stroll. He always counts many walks a day as I gather from his walking log, and gets quite good reviews that confirm mine. Good walker, not a pigeon/squirrel chaser, confident in the street, excited in a nice way to see other dogs and a great bench buddy. Look at what the admission counselor said about him: “jumped into lap and exposed belly”. Indeed, Philly does roll on his back for belly rubs. Loose in a pen, he is excited to enjoy his freedom and will jump and sometimes mouth a little to get what he wants, a ball, a treat. Ask him to hop on the bench and he will be as calm and quiet as a mouse, just enjoying the closeness with his human. Like the many who have spent time with him, I like Philly and hope that you will, too, after spending some time with him and our adoption counselors. Come and meet him soon at the Manhattan Care Center. Make him your forever best friend.
My medical notes are…
Weight: 51.8 lbs
Details on my behavior are…
Behavior Condition: 1. Green
