11/04/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Although a bit shy and aloof at the begining of our encounter, Paula warmed up with gentle words, caresses and a walk around the block. She accepted a bandana being put around her neck, and the cleaning of her eyes. I was even gratified with a big smile and happier eyes. What a pretty dog she is with her lush oreo coat, sitting calmly like a good girl in the bright autumn sun. Paula is a great walker who loves to sniff all along the way in a Pointer fashion. She does her business as soon as we are out of the building. She is not interested in the pigeons and nears other dogs properly. In a very first playgroup with her peers, Paula didn’t know what to do. But I have faith in her. She will come around. Of course, the best remedy for Paula’s confusion will be a new home to belong to and a family to love. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center and make Paula your very own forever best friend.
