A volunteer writes: Straight out of the book, ‘How To Win Friends and Influence People’, Nico is sweet, playful, housetrained and jumped right into the lap of a staffer for some cuddles! He’s bouncy and fun on leash, and has obviously posed for lots of pictures before as he mugged for my camera. He’s beyond adorable! Surrendered to our care as his people moved where he isn’t welcome, we’re told he’s sweet and friendly to all (check), relaxed and friendly with children ( just don’t pull his ears or tail), lived with another dog who whom he got along great, ignores or is relaxed around cats, is both housetrained and wee wee pad trained, likes to play tug knows ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘in’ and ‘move back’. His family left us with this final statement: “Nico is very sweet and jumps into your arms for comfort and allows all handling.” He’s an awesome little guy with whom we all quickly fell in love. You will too when you meet him.
Nico is very sweet around strangers and is friendly. He is relaxed around children but does not like to have ears or tail pulled and will snap. He lived in the home witgh boxer mix and they got along great and he is calm around other dogs or just ignores them. He has been around cats and is relaxed around them, or does not pay them any mind.
Nico is trained to use the weewee pad and to go outside. He needs to be taken on long walks or he will use the bathroom inside of his crate. He is not bothered by having his food or other belongings touched. He is not bothered by being brushed or bathed. He will bark if someone approaches the house and rings the bell.
Nico has a medium level of activity. He likes to play tug and is kept indoors. He stays in his prefered spot when home. He is fed beneful dry food. He is kept in a crate longest for 5 hours. He knows the commands sit, down, in and move back.He is not walked off leash and pulls slightly when walk or not at all.
Nico is very sweet and jumps into your arms for comfort and allows all handling.
