A volunteer writes: While you might think Mikey is short for Michael, with this guy there is no need to start with the formal name and work your way up to the nickname – everyone is a friend to Mikey! Mikey loves people and is very affectionate. He loves to be pet and puts out the sweetest looks of gratitude and the biggest tail wags. Off leash he can be a bit jumpy as he is so eager for human attention, but listens well and will surely polish up his manners quickly in a home setting – he is very eager to please! He walks very well on leash, sits on command and seems very housetrained. After he’s relieved himself, Mikey does a “happy dance” – jetting from one side of the yard to the other with his front legs pointed outward, as if simultaneously running and play bowing! He loves to play, including fetch. Mikey is incredibly loving, attentive and a joy to be around – he would be so happy to meet you at the Brooklyn ACC!
