Unknown source of injury, please check for bites.” O-QAR, shy, pink mm, hydrated EENT-crusted material at tip of pinnae AU, serous d/c OU, no nasal d/c PLN-all wnl CV-no m/a, fsp Resp-clear and eup GI-negative oral, TNP, NMP GU-MI, nsf MSI-BCS 2.5/5, amb x 4 with gait abnormalities associated with angular deformities (normal for breed, slightly exaggerated with individual), dermatitis along tail with wound present at tip of tail that is bleeding intermittently throughout exam, scabbed over wound in left armpit region, staining of fur with dried blood in HL and front paws, otherwise good haircoat Neuro-a and a A-3 yo MI Shih Tzu 1. dermatitis 2. wound R/O secondary to dermatitis P-clipped and cleaned tail, placed hard case bandage over tail tip to prevent further environment contamination-remove and replace later in the day start cephalexin 250 mg-1/2 tab PO BID x 10 days rimadyl 25 mg-0.5 tab PO BID x 5 days benadryl 25 mg-0.5 tab PO BID x 5 days vet check tomorrow for bandage change bath to remove blood stains prognosis good with treatment
