Hello, my name is Chyna. My animal id is #17588. I am a female gray dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 1 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 03-Jan-2018.
Chyna is at risk for behavioral reasons, displaying a concerning deterioration in behavior within the shelter. Chyna is highly dog reactive, and this is worsening with the constant exposure to other dogs in the shelter environment. We strongly suggest that Chyna be placed in a dog experienced home. Chyna has had some diahorrea whilst in the shelter, which we believe to be stress induced, but otherwise we have no medical concerns for Chyna.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Chyna is a young gal, still very close to puppyhood. She is excited and excitable…by everything and everyone. She fancies all the great things she could be doing outside of her kennel. Life has to be lived among people and her peers and yes, she barks inside her den to let us know. Outside, Chyna has mastered the art of standing hugs. Everybody has to oblige. She is quite a good and pleasant walker, no pulling on the leash. She would love to mingle with dogs met, but she will have to wait for playgroup time. She is an excellent sitter and so patient in the waiting room while I am photographing her. With patience and love, Chyna is a very good listener. She is quite a pretty dog, gracious looking on long legs, elegantly dressed and she owns the most beautiful pale grey eyes. Chyna is at the Manhattan Care Center, a good girl waiting for your love and care and ready to be your new fun and faithful companion…
